SUPPORTING DISC GOLF in GREATER HICKORY, EASTERN BURKE COUNTY,
email here with item(s) to post
Good times at the Tavern last night. Here is some more info:
1. The following work projects were discussed and agreed to initiate:
a - Remove the fallen trees on Hole 7. Josh W took the lead on this.
b - Remove the brush in the ditch on hole 15
c - Install brick or stone drop zones on holes 2 and 3
d - Level and possibly redirect tee pad on hole 10
e - Build terraces around pin positions on Long 3 and 5 to address unfair roller and erosion issues. Jeremy W took the lead on this item.
If interested in leading a project contact Dan, Frank or Freddy.
Watch for work day announcements.
2. Wednesday Dubs will start on April 4, the first week the park will be open until 8 PM. Same format, $5 random draw, plastic payout, top two points earners get HC entry.
3. New discs are in from both Innova and Discraft. I'll have first run Mambas at Sunday dubs on 3/11.
4. We agreed the club will look into sponsoring a hole for the 2012 Worlds. Post your suggestion for which Charlotte course/hole to request.
5. Sunday will alternate between dubs and tag singles, 18 holes, mixing up the layouts. Odd dates (i.e. March 11) are singles, even dates doubles. Singles will have two divisions enforced with bagger ridicule, if neccesary.
6. A calendar for the website was requested. I'll work on it.3/7/12
